ISDM
ISDM is a Global Integrator that has delivered UC solutions to some of the world’s largest companies. Rory Brannigan, CEO of ISDM, was aware of the work Re-Sauce had done for other brands and, in particular, the background of Gordon Dutch. ISDM had previously used a number of mounts brands, before standardising on Peerless, the brand Gordon had steered so successfully in a previous life.
Whilst ISDM was very successful in many areas, Rory felt that a fresh set of eyes on the business would be helpful. He also knew that in Gordon’s distant past, he had owned and run a very successful retail chain and CI integrations business. Therefore, Rory contacted Gordon for an initial meeting via VC. From that meeting, Rory asked Gordon to fly over to Belfast, where ISDM was headquartered and meet with the main ISDM Board and Sales Team.

“Whilst I had been aware of Gordon and his achievements for some 15 years, we had never actually met. However, two of my senior leadership team knew him well and had spoken very highly of him and so in July 2023, I reached out to him for a VC call. During that VC, it was immediately obvious to me, that Gordon was able to grasp all the aspects of our business and so I invited him over to Belfast to meet the main board and observe our quarterly sales meeting. Gordon flew over as planned and stayed for the sales meeting, as well as overnight joining our team dinner, before coming back the next day to outline his observations to the board.
In that follow up meeting, I was struck by just how quickly Gordon got straight to the nub of how we operated and came up with a number of ideas and suggestions to improve the business. The input covered everything from how we went to market, the brands we worked with and how we could work more closely with them. It provided a really holistic overview of the business, but Gordon coupled that with some razor-sharp observations on the sales team and in other areas, such as our use of the ISDM CRM system and how we could improve it.
Not only did these suggestions help improve our sales revenue, but they also helped improve our overall communications and efficiency across the company, which in turn helped us improve our margins.
