Gordon has over 30 year's top-level experience within the electronics and AV industry. As well as having a successful retail business, he founded BBG Distribution Ltd in 1990, which went on to become one of the largest Audio & Accessories distributors in Europe. After selling the company to Peerless Industries Inc in 2009, he joined the Global Board of Peerless with personal responsibility for launching Peerless-AV into the UK & EMEA.
After ten years at Peerless and several product and service awards, Gordon stepped back into a Non-Exec role. In Feb 2020, Peerless-AV was awarded the Queen's Award for Enterprise for their sales and growth in Export sales between 2012-2018 (under Dutch’s leadership). Only 7,000 UK companies have won this since 1965.
Gordon's major personal and company awards include:
January 2025 – Inducted into Commercial Integrators “Living Legends” series. My number #65 for Contribution to the AV Industry
June 2017: Inducted to the Global Hall of Fame for Contribution to the AV Industry.
2008-10: Listed in the UK's Who's Who of Britain's Business Elite and fastest-growing businesses.
May 2009: Lifetime Achievement Award to the Mobile Electronics Industry.
