Lee has over 24 years’ experience in the IT, Consumer Electrical and AV sector. Having worked in retail, manufacturing and distribution during this time.

 

For the last 14 years of his career, Lee had a second spell at the Midwich group, launching the display division, which is currently the group’s largest category, helping it grow from a UK-based sub £100m distributor to a international £680m business. Lee finished his career there as the commercial director, responsible for all the product categories for the UK and Ireland, and also held numerous relationships for the group, with senior management and owners of the group’s manufacturers. Lee was responsible for the identification of a number of the group’s acquisitions, launched many of the group’s vendors and was also key in developing a number of new categories such as Audio, Interactive Display, Accessories and UC, to name a few. Lee also played a leading role in identifying and launching Midwich into a number of new key verticals such as Leisure and Custom Install.

 

Midwich won numerous awards during the 14 years that Lee was there, including seven AV Distributor of the Year awards and eight CRN awards for specialist distribution in the IT sector, as well as a number of marketing awards. Midwich also won six of The Sunday Times top track awards for growth and international growth.
